The May 21 2009 NOAA forecast for the 2009 hurricane season is interesting. It gave a lot of wiggle room. It gave a lot of wiggle room. It said there was a 50% chance that it would be a normal season…that being I believe 10 named storms and 6 hurricanes, though those numbers may be a shade higher due to activity in recent years.
